Precautions for Use
- Do not pressurize the air spring while it is in an unloaded condition.
- Always release air pressure before removing the air spring from equipment or moving the equipment.
- Take care not to damage the rubber bellows during installation and use.
If there is a risk of contact with foreign objects, please install a protective cover. - The operating ambient temperature should be between -20°C and +60°C.
Service life may be reduced in environments above 40°C. - Avoid contact with acids, alkalis, organic solvents, lubricating oils, or other harmful substances on the rubber bellows.
If contamination occurs, rinse immediately with water. - Use the air spring only within the height range specified in the catalog.
- If the rubber bellows has scratches reaching the reinforcement layer or abnormal bulging, replace it immediately.
- Ensure the mounting surface is as flat as possible so that the entire plate supports the load evenly.
Do not apply tension to the piping. - For vibration isolation applications, keep internal pressure below 0.5 MPa.
For actuator applications, keep internal pressure below 0.7 MPa, including instantaneous peak pressure.
For allowable operating ranges, please refer to the dimensions/performance charts. - Two-stage and three-stage types are intended only for actuator use and must not be used for vibration isolation.
In addition, do not maintain operation at standard height or above for more than 10 minutes. - Welding on the metal parts of the air spring is strictly prohibited.
- Do not use the air spring for vibration isolation in equipment under the following conditions:
(1) When the operating speed (or stroke frequency) is close to the natural frequency of the air spring (approx. 3–6 Hz).
Example: presses operating below 500 rpm.
(2) Equipment with very slow speed variation during stop or deceleration, where resonance conditions persist for a long time.
(3) Equipment with high excitation force causing excessive amplitude even at normal operating speeds.

All optional products are equipped with horizontal piping plates.
With built-in stopper:
Since a mechanical stopper is integrated inside the air spring, no external stopper is required.

Lower limit stopper

Minimum height: 117 mm
With a built-in lower limit stopper, even in the event of air leakage, the stopper will function to prevent equipment damage and interference.
TYPE: U
Upper stopper
Product No.: PSB-1-◯◯◯U
Minimum height: 124 mm
Maximum height: 154 mm
In addition to the lower stopper, an upper stopper is also built in. Even if excessive air is supplied, the stopper will function to prevent equipment damage and interference.
※ The stopper is intended for emergency use only. Please avoid frequent contact during operation.
※ The internal pressure of the air spring should be kept below 0.5 MPa.
